Airedale Property Trust (APT) comes from the split of Methodist Mission Northern (MMN) into the Three Trusts: Lifewise, APT and MMN.
Established in 2009, APT became the commercial arm – taking the lead on all MMN’s income-generating activities while Lifewise became the social service delivery arm and MMN retained Chaplaincy and the important connection to the Methodist Church.
Airedale Property Trust (APT) is the kaitiakitanga of the investment assets of Methodist Mission Northern (MMN). APT’s focus is on growing revenue from its investment portfolio to enable it to provide a long-term secure and sustainable cashflow to support its sister trusts, Lifewise and MMN to deliver on their social programmes and vision.
APT is focussed on creating an institutional grade property investment portfolio through repositioning its existing assets through development and ongoing investment. A portfolio to support the wellbeing of future generations.
APT proudly embraces a balance of community and commercial property investment, development, and management. APT also provides property consultancy, information technology, human resource and financial services to likeminded organisations across New Zealand.
APT is a registered charitable trust with approximately $400m of property under management comprising over 500 tenants with a future development pipeline of $350m.
APT is more than property, we provide financial, payroll, human resource, and information technology services to over 20 organisations. We have a team of high-performing financial and IT professionals providing premium accounting and computer technology services. An openness to adaptation and diversification with its investments and developments has ensured that throughout market fluctuations and economic cycles APT has continued to enjoy steady growth. APT’s investment, development, and property management activities include retirement villages, retail, commercial, residential, and social housing.
Expertise in development management and property consultancy within Auckland’s social and affordable housing market through the development of under-utilised church land has seen APT at the forefront of innovative community change.
